only issue ive had with the new injectors so far is that sometimes it misses a little bit on startup. about 15% of the time but once it runs a few minutes they all fire properly.

so as I said i would do a miniature write-up in my thread on injector replacement.
- remove gas cap
- bleed fuel rail
- disconnect battery cables, since the injectors are electronically controlled.
- remove throttle cable
- disconnect all sensors that run across the fuel rail: ex: TPS sensor, IAC sensor, etc.
- lable electrical pig-tails that plug into the injectors themselves.
- remove snap rings connecting pig-tail to injector(careful not to crack or break any part of the pigtail)
- loosen and remove the 4 bolts retaining the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
- remove retaining clips connecting the injectors to the fuel rail.
- then gently pull the fuel rail back to pop the injectors out of the block. careful not to leave any o-rings stuck to the holes on the engine block.
- then pull injectors gently out of the fuel rail. once again, careful with the o-rings.
- mount new injectors inside the fuel rail. it will take a bit of pressure so dont get stressed if they dont slide right in. make sure the 0-rings on new injectors fit flush inside the rail inlet.
- reinstall everything in the reverse order of removal. (tip: use a flat head screwdriver and pry towards the fuel rail against the head of the bolts that hold the rail to the manifold. helps insure proper. and then install the injector retaining clips.
- screw on fuel cap
- prime fuel rail and check for leaks.
- if no leaks, hold the battery terminals together, for 5 minutes, to reset the computer.
- then you are all done.

so tonight, I turned my AC on and smelt something burning. only to find that a wire had popped loose and shorted out on my AC lines and a couple vacuum lines that are tied in with AC hoses, which are now have been burnt into two pieces.
This makes the second time something has caught fire under the hood.

couldnt take a sunday off of the xj lifestyle so i took care of another issue. for a while i havent had low-beams.
high beams or no beams so i took out the haynes bible and used the diagram to wire a toggle switch to run low beams again.
total cost= $0.50 of gas to get to the wiring bay at work.
now im saving up to get some extra cash to put it in the shop to get my a/c hose re-manufactured and retrofitted to r143a.
