I was trying to cheap out on parts but every time I'm ever doing anything cheap I end up spending more than I want to.
I know for future reference to get everything new...
I ran into the same issue with my old GTI, try to save money on some parts you end up breaking more and it costs twice as much. So happy I got rid of that pos. Glad to see the pads where the only carnage, it could have been much worse.

Finally got my quadratech rear cargo liner...
It's already saved me a bit of a mess from this New Years resolving a locker issue...

Met up with freegdr for a Jy run and no luck with parts...
But got a side by side pic

And noticed I was getting a lot of vibration up front...looked at my pinion and it's not good...which I don't understand because I put 4.5" coils up front the lowers are at 16.5" and the uppers are at 15"...
I'm going to have to adjust them again...or at least the uppers for sure...
Cell phone angle finder showed it at 4 degrees and read online that it should be at least from 6-8 degrees...
So I took off my front driveshaft until I can get it all dialed up....

Here's a pic of my pinion angle you can tell it's off...

Any idea on the lift/tire specs on that 2 door? Best looking 2 door I've seen in a long time

Picked up a spare 29 spline 4.10 8.25 from a 99 2 door from the Jy...
Might go back to grab the panels and window regulators...

This 2 door was clean...besides a dent in the drivers door and a busted driver side seat bracket...

Super jealous of the 29 spline 4.10 8.25! I just told my wife the other day that if I find an XJ with stock 4.10 29 spline 8.25 rear I'd be ripping off both axles and taking them! lol. What did that rear end set you back if you don't mind me asking?

My first one was $210...
This one cost ran me $154....
Considering the cost to regear I'll take it any day of the week

Damn, that is great! Yeah I'd spend that much for an axle without hesitation haha. At that point I'd just rebuild the entire axle outside the Jeep since I'm already using a 3.55 C8.25 in it now. Disc brakes, locker, re paint, etc...

Looks like I need a trip to the JY

I might really consider disk brakes...but I've never had a problem with drum brakes...
Do you have a write up on the brake swap?
