Just ordered the l and l winch bumper! So exited to get that thing on with the winch that has been sitting in my room for almost 5 months! How long do these things take to get shipped?

Also, should I get a ford 8.8 or 31 spline 8.25....
Hmmm decisions decisions

Kris is taking orders? I thought he had stopped. Have you had email confirmation with him and all?

Took mine ~6 weeks to get here and a couple business days whenever I ordered my pre runner bars. Gives you plenty of time to get your hardware I guess lol.

They look sexy man, in order to get the winch far back enough to my liking I cut up my grill and plastic cross piece.

What 31 spline 8.25? No such thing.

I thought 1998 and newer 8.25s were 31 spline. Maybe it was 29... Haha Idk
And I ordered it through the website and payed already...waiting on an email. I hope he is still making them!

I've never herd of a 31 spine line c8.25 I think it's 27 for 96 and down and 29 for 97 and up.

Yeah your right, 29 for 97 up.
So with that cleared up, 29spline 8.25 vs ford 8.8?
I'm getting 35's when my 31's wear down and don't wanna put them on the d35 and re gear that tiny axle

Need to make sure Kris is going to build you a bumper... Lol.

I geared my 29 spline 8.25 at 4.56 and run 35's. I DD it and wheeled it hard last weekend for its first trip on real tires, no problems.

I went this route because the axle was free. If I was going to pay for an axle under a non full width build, I would do an 8.8. Run deeper gears than a Jeep axle, 31 spline, come with discs, better selection of selectable lockers, and you could do a c clip eliminator at which point I would feel better about running a 37" tire. The deeper gears 5.13, would have to be paired with a 44 since a 30 can only go to 4.88.

Weld the tubes on an 8.8 or truss it, and it's a stout little axle.

I saw that.
8.8 is officially going to replace the turdyfive. I just ordered HD spring pearches, shock tabs, ubolts and plates from Iron rock off-road!

Nice! Gonna weld the tubes yourself or do you plan on a truss?
