87 cherokee build
lol yeah im surprised its as low as it is. although that 01 cherokee i had made up for it. paid 4500 for it had it for 4 months then the engine blew so im still paying on it -_-...and im sure the total price for this cherokee is a little more since i didnt include all the minor stuff like the headliner, spray paint, bedliner ect.
Well after having my bushwackers for about two years I finally put them on!
just got the stock flares off.

Bedlined it after I got the flares off.

and with the bushwackers on

Im going to change the green to tan for a bit of a change.
I have also tried to fix my death wobble. Ive changed the sway bar link bushings, Track bar, Drag link and tierod/ tierod ends. Gonna get it aligned and pray that the DW is gone!

Thanks man! I like the 4 doors a lot but love my 2 door mainly because ive only seen one other 2 door around here.
well I got the new steering stabilizer on. When I went to put the tie rod back on (where it connects to the drag link) the ball joint(i think thats what its called) in the tie rod end started spinning so I could not tighten the nut down. bought two more tie rod ends so that way everything will be new. Now I just need to figure out how in the hell im going to get the tie rod ends off, they wont budge. Any advice on the easiest way to get them off?

I hear ya those things are not very tough for wheeling but should be fine for wider trails or you could get some nice sliders with step loops from various manufactures that may be tougher for tighter trails

Yeah my buddy used to own an '85 2 door chief with the carbed 2.5 and a 5 speed but id suggesting using a table vice to get those tie rods off worked for mine I let it soak in pb blaster for about 2 hours then put the tie rod end on the vice and used channel locks to turn it just lightly grip it though don't wanna bend/dent a tie rod haha

well over the weekend I figured it was time to rip out my carpet. The last few big rains we had my floor board on the passenger side was soaked so I figured id rip out the carpet to see how much rust I had.

the front is no where near as bad as i thought it would be since i had standing water in there for a while..looks like surface rust
the back is a different story...

there is a decent size hole from where its rusted out. it starts at the lift gate and goes all the way to the front of the back seat. Im thinking its because my old exhaust pipe was rusty and had holes in it so all the gasses rusted out the floor. so time to break out the grinder and get some metal and weld it in there. then after that is done ill bedline it.

Been MIA for a while but I've got a few updates. Got some new rubber for the jeep. 32'' Kumho road venture MT's

I think they look great! much better then the bald AT's i had on there!
Also fixed the hole in the floor. The wet paint is the whole area I had to patch the exhaust leak did some damage made it rust out fast!

Got the temp gauge in place and ready for this weekend. Going to hook it up, replace my radiator since it has a pretty good leak in it and going to flush the system since I have no idea when the last time it was done. Hoping that will fix my overheating problem.
