so the wheels kept being back ordered so i canceled the order. i did buy a 2 inch lift kit tho. shackles and coil spacers. also got some bushwhacker fender flares . its a tad cold so as soon as i can get a garage or a warm day its all going on! then ill post up pics.

also figured out what was wrong with the 01 xj. whenever i would put it in reverse it would make a horrible noise so i thought something was wrong with the trans, after a while it did it in drive too. turns out part of the muffler was rusted and had started touching the drive shaft.. bent it away from it and problem solved.

there is a new problem now though. when i drive for a good while using the headlights they will go off. the running lights stay on but no headlights at all. but it only happens when its running for a while, short distances its fine. any ideas as to what it could be? when we bought the vehicle the previous owner had done a wire harness upgrade and put in hella headlights

Hello again! its been a while but I am finally working on the jeep again! if anyone saw my silver jeep i had a while back its now gone =/ after only having it for 4 months a piston broke and ended up bouncing around in the bottom end and did some pretty good damage so i sold it. I did keep the wheels and tires though so they will be going on my jeep.

so minor update to my jeep. over the weekend I started the lift kit. Got the shackles and new shocks on the back without any snapped bolts this weekend I will put the coil spacers and new shocks on the front and then put my wheels and tires on.

you can kinda see the lift in the back in this pic

once its all done then i need to put my bushwackers on.

Well I have started a new project for the jeep. In the back of the jeep there is the little cubbyhole in the plastics but it cant really be used for anything so I thought I would make a net for it so I can store stuff in it.

This is the cubby im talking about( not my jeep btw)

and this is how it looks right now. still have a ton of sewing to do but i think it will turn out nice.

well I got new rotors and brake pads for the jeep. Started working on one side. now I need to figure out where I put my C clamp so I can compress the piston and put the caliper back on. Then I need to replace the sway bar links since I broke both of the old ones.

well i finished up the net..its not pretty but it works for now..may end up trying to find something better to work as a net.

also got the new rotors and brake pads on so the jeep is going good again.

Took the brush guard off to see how it would look. I think I like it better with it off.

now I need to fix the license plate and make the roof basket sit flat.

My headlights also came in. now im just waiting for my wire harness to come in so I can do the upgrade. Then maybe ill actually be able to see the road at night.

next on the list is to:

Fix sound bar.

Fix sagging headliner.

Replace speakers(have new ones).

Tune up.

New paint(same color with another coat of bedliner).

Trim fenders and put on bushwackers.

Fix bent front bumper then take off the end caps and make end caps flush with the bumper.

Make roof basket sit level instead of crooked like it is now.

Had a guy in a 1987 4 door cherokee pull up to me today as i was getting out of my jeep. he was asking me all kinds of questions about it and he wanted to trade me straight up for his jeep. I deff couldnt do it since I only paid 100.00 for it from my great uncle who has now passed away but he did have a pretty clean jeep.

so I figured I would make a list of how much the jeep has cost me since ive had it.

Bought the jeep- 100.00
Slave cylinder- 350.00 with install
Lift- 90.00
Shocks- 190.00
Headlight housings- 35.99
Putco H4 wire harness upgrade- 32.17
Brake pads- 18.90
Rotors- 69.98
Sway bar links- 37.98
Starter- 134.99

so all in all ive spent about 1060.01 for this jeep...not bad
