Thanks, man, that helps alot!! Might as well go with the 4.0 then. Need to get a 4.0 radiator anyway, so, I can use that for testing purposes. I have my '93 XJ as a guide, so, that helps.

Love this thing man. I would love to find an MJ like that. I'd swap a 4.6L stroker in it and have a hella tow rig. Nice work so far!

Ok, this is what I have for seat and bracket:



Here's the bracket and sliders in my '93 XJ:


Thinking of getting a set of XJ sliders from 84-93, attaching the early XJ sliders to the MJ brackets, and making a plate to bolt the later XJ seats to the early XJ sliders.

Sounds like a plan?

Well, painted the grille, bumper, and headlight bezels today:



Also figured out what drive train I'm going to use, an AMC 304 or 360, with an AX15. I can keep it all AMC, get V8 power, and the 4.0 AX15 will bolt right up to it.
