I'm still a couple of weeks before I get my hands on mine
my first ever 4x4, going to get a Cherokee Sport 1999, completely stock
it is in good shape, just a lot of millage (around 140k miles) and I get it for just 800$
on the plus side, I have a good base to build over

keep it up, waiting to see yours in one tone...

 

140,000 aint nothin man your good to go as long as the previous owner took care of it, mines of 200,000 and got beat and i paid $450 you getting a newer one for just 350 more you have an awesome base man have fun with it/.

 

bent some pipe today to see if my kinker could do it. packed pipe full of wet sand. not bad but wouldnt do anything structual (cage) with it. might weld them on tomorrow

 

i like the way tube fenderflares look. also i noticed your title when i first clicked on the build...just kinda chuckeld..saw someone else commented on it so i figured it would be stupid too.

no what is your deffinition of done? u must be a city boy if u think anything that you own is done.. nothing i own is ever is done.. your breaking it n fixing it or your your adding to it to keep up n kick your buddys rear!!

 

getting there. had some troubles along the way. will never do another hood. should be done tomorrow

 

i think once you get that hood all cleaned up and painted you'll change your mind about not wanting to do another one!!! lol!

I dont think im guna mess with welding anythin thinner than 1/8in. the way i did it the THIRD time wasnt so bad but it is also prone to craking the bondo. I also hate bondo and sanding. If i do do another hood it will be fiberglass. now that i have this one i can make a mold and make a glue on full fiber glass cover if i am so inclined (doubtfull)
