Default 6 inches higher. Now what?

So I'm thinking of getting a much more substantial 4-6 inch over my 3 that I have now I'd like to do it cheap but more importantly I want it done right. so please feel free to share some much needed wisdom about stuff like....
Lift kit itself,
Tire size,
Shocks,
Gears/axles,
Shackles,
steering,
Brake lines,
Slip yoke?
bump stop?
Sway bar?
Anything else?

Thanks,

Carter W.

Rc 6.5 actually about 7". Control arm drops. Nitro shocks. D30/8.25. Iro hack & tap sye. Extended bumpstops. Extended brake lines. 35s on 16x8 rubi wheels. Cut fenders. Ride isn't too bad for what it is. Not so great with stock 3.55 gears especially on the interstate. Great offroad. Love the way it performs offroad. Hope that helps! If you go over 3" they're just so many more things you will need. But its worth it I think.
