Default $500 Pine Stand SXS

Long time listener, first time caller.....

Needed a SXS to get around a 50 acre pine stand I just purchased but refused to spend 10K on a SXS so I started looking around for an old samurai because in my younger days I had a old samurai I tricked out.

My Sami build at Tellico, to many mods to list

Only thing I could find for cheap was a 2000 XJ sport with "rust issues."

Default reinforced roof

took the brace out of the cut roof section and need to fit it in better and weld it.

took out the body harness minus the fuel pump wiring, hope it cranks again...

Got to add 3" pucks to front coils
POR15 the rear
add shocks
install longer brake lines
reinstall gastank ( plan to move the filler neck to the bed)
remove doors and make tubed half doors for the rear
spot weld the back panels in to include new sides
still got another hole in the frame right in front of the driver side rear leaf spring hanger
Front bumper fab
run exhaust

no hurry probably won't take the SXS out to the property till after deer season. plan to update this as I go. thanks.

Default Front lift and fuel tank mock up

3” spacers installed. Cut the sway bar out instead of unbolting. Didn’t need spring compression tool to get them out but had to use it to get them back in. Shocks are on back order till first of august.

drained and lifted tank into position so I could see what I need to cut. Going to cut the fill neck and shorten, cut the tank ports down a little, cut the new frame pieces a little. Plan to put the full neck where it sits in the pic. I’ll weld up a box to protect it.

Hey could you show me a shot of inside the uni-body a little more forward then in you last shot?
Where the diff breather connects to the white nipple on the outside of the uni-body.
I always wondered what it looked like after that in the uni-body.
I have been curious about this for a real long time. LOL.

So is the nipple for the diff breather, that is on the outside of the uni-body, that white nylon piece I see in the inside in the center of the third picture?
