im currently running this exact setup and not gonna lie i hit my diffs all the times on rocks, its a good setup and looks good you just dont have the same clearance you would with 33s, thus being said once it gets warm enough im going to be installing my 6.5" LA kit with 33s

What im thinking is start with the 31" and move up to the 33"s after awhile. im new the off road scene so im startin kinda simply to get in the groove of things!

31's are perfect on a 3 - 3.5" lift. They would certainly work with 4.5" lift. The 33" might rub. The bigger issue is with a 4.5" lift you should get a SYE and CV drive shaft. So the cost difference is not just the difference in the lift kit.

Go with the 33's. You never regret going bigger, but it's not so true the other way around. They can be more expensive, but you'll like the look a lot more too. I say look around for some pictures with that much lift and whatever size tire you're looking at. 31's look good on 3" lifts, but might be a little small for 4.5".

You need to use a SYE to use a CV shaft. They are always recommended when you lift higher than 3.5". If you don't use them your stock output shaft will pull too far out of the TC and cause damage or at least a bad vibration.

So are you saying its required to have the SYE and CV shaft with 4.5 lift?
