I started my ruff stuff 3/4 heim kit yesterday on my d30 and I also installed my ruff stuff diff cover. With having the tie rod utk and the drag link otk the tie rod hits the diff cover when only turning the steering wheel half way!!!! Now I have to notch my new cover to make it work. Not happy about it that 2 things from the same company don't work together.

Yeah really you would think especislly from the same company that two of their products would work with each other.

You would also very well think that their test xjs had their diff covers too and they would notice that. That sucks having to cut into a brand new cover.

Seems like some of the more serious steering upgrades come with some variables.

The rugged Ridge setup is $212 and free shipping right now!

My 95 needs a complete steering overhaul. If i get this for it then all the old world stuff comes out right? And this would be my steering. From what I understand a steerijg stabilizer isn't needed for this setup either correct?

The Rugged Ridge set up.is only good for a max of 4" of lift before you need a drop.pitman arm. I'm thinking that might be the cause of my death wobble... Lol. I'm probably going to buy a pitman arm. And I'm still running a steering stabilizer. It can't hurt.

I should be fine bc I'm only at 3 inches. I might go another inch after I put the bumpers on to balance out the weight.

Haha thanks! I found this cool guy who makes paper models. And I asked if he could do an xj, and he did! They are 3.99 and he's got a bunch of colors. Really cool.

Sadly no MJ yet :-(
