Haha well on the front yeah rock chips but the hood and roof is chipping like when I broke some off it's exposing the actual metal underneath the paint

Ok now I have a better idea of what you mean. You could definitely spray right over it but it may show. That is honestly going to depend on how many coats you lay down.

You could also lightly feather the chips down with a piece of light sandpaper. That's what I would do... Just to smooth it out a bit

Got some little nick knacks done to the jeep today... Got my country woodgrain bezel in with my kc switch and new cb mic holder. (sorry for the crappy pic. I'll take a better one tomorrow with some light!)

Also got my hitch cleaned up.. And painted my d-ring and pin with yellow engine enamel.

I would advise on not using the tow strap with a hook on it. Especially off road, where the strap is put to its limit. It could become a projectile and injure someone, or worse. I've seen it break many windows after it came off the tow point. Luckily it never happened to me.

I might do that but I really want to paint it sliver or a darker metallic blue I might just go to Maaco they have the cheapest prices and I heard from some people that they actually don't do a bad job

Yeah I was thinking about that honestly... I have a regular one with no hook and this one was on sale 7.99 so I figured f it.. Never hurts to have an extra. I have huge straps that were given to me by someone in the construction business for the heavy duty pulling.

Here is the thing with maaco... You need to tell them EXACTLY what you want. I mean everything. If you don't tell them to tape something they will paint right over it. So just make sure you go over everything.

My 95 has a maaco paint job done by the po. It didn't really last all that long.. But I did wheel it alot. It's worth the money though.

So I'd have to tell them to tape the back taillights and stuff like that? Cause I want the whole thing sanded and repainted since there's paint already coming off

I routed mine right under the hood behind the fuse block. A common spot for it is next to the battery. But I have an oversized battery so that wasn't an option. I might have a pic.. I'll take a look in my phone.

And thank you!

Yep just thoroughly go through everything. I was more aiming towards any trim... Door lock cylinders.. You'd be surprised what they will spray right over
