My winter project (it took me this long to come up with the funds, woot).

But as soon as that is done, this is next. Including the glossifier.

...but not in blaze orange lol: my wife would kill me (it's as much her dd as my snow car). Black. (She probably won't even notice, heh.)
How much lift are you going for?

Some pics from tonight. The jeep performed amazing guys. The baja claws were beasts in jersey sugar sand. And romped right through mud pits. It flexed so much more than I thought it would!! Didn't rub at all and had some good articulation going. I'm really feeling good about my setup

Btw. Was pulling a 2wd ford ranger. To the frame rails in sugar sand. Used my front tow hook 4lo in reverse. Pulled it out like it was a toy. They were shocked.

Scored a class 3 hitch and a woodgrain dash bezel for 37 bucks at the junkyard!

Only 2 inches, max. The new HD leaf pack is an inch more (which will lift it almost 2 1/2 inches over where it's been lol), and - depending upon the shackle angle and the "ride": this is my wife's dd - I'll fill out the remaining bit with either a shackle relocation kit or a longer shackle. (We're short and old lol ...so I'm not lifting it much.)

...then spacers in the front to bring it level (I think the factory coils are still good).

Then the rocker panels! Yaay.

What's making you worry about the shackle angle? You should be fine if your just getting heavy duty leafs. The problems come in when you have a leaf that is too short.. Like rough country's 4.5 leafs

What if you're paint is chipping already though will that cause any problems?

Awesome! Make sure you put the cans in some hot water in a pot before and in between your coats. You'll get much better results. Can't wait to see how it comes out!

I didn't know that ...no clue at all.

I've read a bunch of threads on the subject of problems with replacing leaf packs, but no one has said that so matter-of-factly lol. (They're mostly dealing with lifts like you say, but I never drew the inference. I just figured it was a common issue. In my case: a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.)

...got the passenger side almost done ...just have to connect the shackle to the spring (need to raise the body a little higher to do that easily), and install the shock. Then: driver side.

Might be done by the weekend!
