I'm pretty sure you can do an AAL with the spring pack still on the jeep. Then you wouldn't have to fight with that bolt.

Yea, undo u-bolts, shocks. Drop axle outta the way (may or may not have to undo brake line to get it outta the way) then take off the spring retainers and remove the centering pin thing. Install AAL and put it back together. I've never done one but I've always read people do em with the axle on.

You most definitely can do the aal with the leaf still bolted up. That's how I did mine. Make sure you have a jack to cradle the rear so it's not just hanging. And you will need 3 large c clamps. Your going to want to set the c clamps up on the leaf before you take the center pin out or else they will shoot out once the pressure of the center pin is gone.

Same thing goes for the installation. Line the leafs up with your aal in and c clamp them. Then you put the center pin in and tighten them up. You don't want to be able to see light through the leaves. So clamp them tight.

One more thing, DO NOT loose the friction pads that are inbetween the leafs. If you do they will squeak something terrible.

Ok death wobble. Someone explain to me what could be causing it and how to figure out exactly what is causing it. I don't have my sway bar hooked up currently but that is in my list to do this coming weekend. I miss driving my jeep since it is my dd. what can I do to fix this death wobble so I can drive it again

Your sway bar is not causing your death wobble. I don't know too much about death wobble, but i had it in my Wrangler. I replaced the bushings in the lower control arms and it disappeared, and from what i understand, that's what it usually is, worn bushings somewhere. Track bar, control arms, etc. there are a list of possible causes, like could also be tires aren't balanced right, there's mud inside the rim, you might need an adjustable track bar, but start with what's cheap and easy. If you can replace them on your own, bushings are cheap. Then check your tires for balancing. Those are the things that cleared mine up. I know it's not much, but i hope it helps!! Read your whole build too, and i will definitely be watching. Keep it up and good luck!

Tire balance and alignment are good places to start. If you didn't re-align you toe-in/out after the lift, its definitely going to be off.

Just looked and my driver side tie rod (the one right on the tire) is completely shot. So I'm going to replace all my tie rods
