1998 Jeep Cherokee Custom Rebuild.
Whats going on everybody. I wanted to start a new thread (a) because I'm new and (b) because I am about t venture into a huge project with a starting point of knowledge.
I am the proud owner of a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic with a 4.0L Inline 6, very very very stock Jeep.
My goal for this Jeep is a complete overhaul.
There is a lot of things I have not decided on yet as far as what brand's, size or styles. There are also a couple of things that I am have a ball park figure of what I want.
I will keep everybody following this thread posted on what is decided from advice that I am given here as well as other research as well as how much the build is going to cost as I buy the parts.
Most of the build will be done off the body at first and just be ready for bolt on as I get get closer to completion as I am using this jeep as a daily driver for now.
One of the major upgrades that I want to do is swap the 4.0L engine with a Cummins B3.9L/4BT.
I do plan to use all new parts or re-manned if needed and all parts on the vehicle will be assembled by hand.
This will be a lenthy project and I just hope that everyone here is willing to help with the wealth of knowledge they have.
Any questions or ideas please reply here or PM me

Drop in. The parts store motors are warrantied and usually cheaper than having a motor rebuilt. I would caution strongly against paying a shop for a rebuild because they typically don't warranty their work.
