1989 Cherokee 38" tires
New to this forum.
I live in Iceland, recently bought myself a 1989 Cherokee.
Not much I can tell you since I haven't read enough through build threads in English to be able to translate all the technical babble from Icelandic to English.
But basically, it has Dana 44 in the rear and 30 in the front with some fabricatons. It's somewhat strengthened.
It has 4-link and springs in the rear, in stead of what's original (what is it called in English?).
Tires are 38" Ground Hawk II.
Driven 150.xxx miles, but the guy who sold it to me told me that the previous owner told him he'd swapped the engine for one driven 150.xxx kilometers.

This picture will have to do for now, I'll try and put up more info and pictures soon enough.

i love the look of winter wheelers. Is it all ice/water wheeling over there? I just don't see that setup being good for any other type of wheeling.
Nah not entirely, but I'll be using them this winter in the snow, maybe some glacier trips.
These tires aren't extremely fun to drive on tarmac, but nothing terrible.. specially with a car that doesn't weigh more then the cherokee does.
Next summer I might be using something else in the city, but these are great for summertrips to the mountains as there are loads of big rivers to cross and such.
