New to form, glad I saw this page when I was browsing. I got my 99 XJ that ive had for about 7 months, its always been my dream car. Slowly but surely starting to make some mods, just wish i knew more about the ends and outs of the jeep. looking to put a lift on it really soon but would like help with work. anyone in the NOVA area that would like to help me out with picking out a lift and installing it?

Hey Danikby, welcome to Cherokee Forum. If you dig through here you will find all of the information you need. In Modified Cherokee Tech is a list of all the companies that offer lifts, budget and brand loyalty come into play here. They all get the job done. Enjoy, that's what it's all about.

Somehow missed this post. If you need any help, I'm in Warrenton.

I'd kill for a DIY place in Warrenton lol. It'd make lifts and rear mains a breeze. Rumor has it there used to be a place in Sterling like that.

The big problem is insurance. You're letting a bunch of people that some actually know how to lift a vehicle on a rack and some that don't. I'm spoiled in that I work at a shop and I can work on my jeep in the air whenever I want, as long as I clean the mud off lol

Anyone know about what the going rate is for a Rear Main Seal replacement around Warrenton? Mine has been at it for a while now, and I have replaced valve cover, front main, and OFA seals as well as the Oil pressure sending unit. I've read every article and watched every video about the job, and I believe I could do it, but I simply lack the local. I've got gravel/grass.

I can't wait until I have my own house/garage. Very hopeful that will happen end of this year.
