So this is why my Jeep was always squealing...yes the pulley cut in to the mounting bracket. The penny picture is kind of blurry but the words are completely in the groove it cut out.

So I finally got my got my CB installed, and got my antenna, antenna mount, and wiring. I went with the Firestik Firefly 4ft black, with the Firestik FireRing 18 ft cable and a door jamb mount for above my left side tail light. I got it all hooked up, except for the the antenna. Well I parked outside last night without the antenna put on, and now there is water in the stud where the antenna goes. Is it ok for me to put the antenna on now, or should I wait until it dries completely? Also, will I need a spring for this antenna or should it be ok at highway speeds?
