just re use the pin that's already in it...try and leave the little bushing sleeve in there that goes around the pin, it takes up some of the slack between the pin and the hinge. I took mine out and you could pick the door up and down inside the hinge, so I wish I didn't take that bushing out now but I just recently drilled it out for a bigger pin so I have no more slop

Yes you can. We did the removal door mod on my cousin in laws 98 XJ this past fall. And will be doing it to my 99 XJ this coming spring/summer. All you do is cut the door pin in Half with a drimmel. Pound out the bottom portion of the door pin, leaving the top portion in place. And whala. The door now pops right off just by lifting up on the door. The 97.5-01 XJ's are the easiest to do the door mod on. Because the pins aren't splined and pressed in. And you don't have to really do to much modifying to make it work.

Alright went out and looked at my door. My bad, this is what you want to do. Cut the pin in half. Then knock out bottom portion of pin, then knock out top portion of pin. Then remove door. Then when applying door back on drop in a new pin.
Here's a detailed write up on newer style XJ door removal. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/r...ite-up-408138/

Yeah I know all of it I just need to find someone that would be able to weld in a bolt so it's drop in like TJs. I'd like to have them sag the least amount possible
