He says 60mph into a tree!! That **** has got to be fawked up!! I was only goin 40 and it completely Z'd the unibody on the drivers side and pushed the floor board up passed the gas pedal. Don't think it would have done that much damage if it had stock control arms though. Probably would have just bent them instead of the unibody.

I may give it a shot. Course rattle canning them is also cheap and easy, and looks fine.

I would have them balanced first. The plasti dip won't set off the balancing any. Then just plasti dip over the weights or tape the weights off then plasti dip and then peel the tape off the weights while the plasti dip is still wet. And you get a nice straight line around the weights. But I would definitely balance FIRST! Then plasti dip. That way you don't have to worry about messing up the plasti dip with the weights whether the hammer on or stick on.

Figured I'd go ahead and post some pics of the wheels. I still need to plasti dip them though. The clear coat on the polished aluminum is coming off. Im gonna plasti dip the centers flat white and the lips are gonna be flat black.

Oh and don't mind the tent in the back round. I just got it today. Fedex dropped it off while I was at work. So I put it up to make sure everything was ok on it so I would know if I needed to send it back or not. But it all checked out ok, so im ready for camping this fall. Lol.

yeah - that's all well and good until I install new tires and need to rebalance the rims. The weights may need to be in a different spot.

I am leaning more towards paint.

My wheels are plasti dipped. I love it! It's suppose to come out smooth but I sprayed too far away so it came out more textured like.

When I ordered the bumper, I told them I wanted the stinger around 32" long but NO MORE than 33". With a 47 degree lean up from the 3 o'clock position. When I got it from them I measured it and its actually 36" long from the bumper with a 45 degree lean up from the 3 o'clock position. So they F'd it up when they made it. And I wasn't going to send it back because it took 4 months to get it. So im kinda SOL unless I cut it off and redo it myself. If they would have done it like I told them to it would have been the perfect height and lean.

Thinking about trying to paint my XJ...

Really considering the roller method, but may end up spraying, as I already have a compressor.

Anyone heard of this company?
