Its an old harbor freight road shock 9000lb and it needed a new solenoid so I got a new control box with remote but the winch only has 2 hook up and the control box has 3 so I don't know how to hook it up

If it's only a 2 wire set up it's probably just a ground and "in" function, no power out. I would honestly pull one of the solenoids from the new box and put it in the old.

Second guess: fast in, slow in and ground.

If the winch uses only two wires you probably have power in and manual out (you have to pull the line out as compared to "feeding" it out with a remote.) If the control box has three wires, is most likely for both power in and out.

IMO, just pull one of the solenoids from the new box (it should have two) and put it in the old control box.

first time post, my jeep's down on her luck. im on deployment and cant do much to help out my wife, so i figured the least i could do is ask around. 01 XJ 4.0l 130k mi. trouble is a misfire from multiple cylinders/unknown misfire. still waiting on her to resend me the codes. when she initially looked into it, she changed all the spark plugs and that helped a little with the noise and shuddering and loss of power but didnt fix the problem. i think it might be a bad injector or two. can you guys recommend a decent shop around the VB area that she could take it to? itll run, but it doesnt sound pretty, so i dont want her driving all over the place.

You guys may have seen us around, black XJ with zombie stickers and a detours rear tire mount. we've had it since 2010. we frequent the lynnhaven, princess anne area. give us a wave if you see us!
