Looking at doing a ford HP44 narrowed to waggy width, 1ton otk steering. 4.88 gears with a selectable locker.

Rear is going to be an 8.8 trussed with tubes welded, super 88 kit, 4.88s and a selectable locker.

Going to look at a ford hp44 tomorrow, guy isn't sure what year its from but I'm gona check to see if the radius arm mounts are welded or cast.
Yeah, i'm jealous. A ford 44 and 8.8 would be a killer set up. I should have new springs, adjustable uca's, a durango box, and "new" shocks (courtesy of red82) all installed within the next few weeks.

Nice, going up in lift at all? Ever get that DW figured out?

Looks like I won't be doing an 8.8 in the rear. Went and talked to a buddy of mine who's got big ford connections, specially in 70s fords, he's gona find me the 44 I need and he has an extra Ford 9 laying around I'm gona get instead. I'm starting to consider going full width.

No, keeping it at 4.5". I'll eventually to LA's, but even then I plan to stay at 4.5.
The UCA's and Durango box should be the final fix on the DW. Took it in for an alignment and they said I'm off due to caster (reason for the uca's) and my steering box is shot, which I already knew.

136 amp. You gotta grind down the mounting bracket, upgrade the wiring, and add a fuse I believe.
