Default Thanksgiving at Crabtree Falls Va

We are having our 7th annual Thanksgiving trip on Nov 24th through the 28th. If anyone would like to come up just drop me a line with a phone number or email and I will get directions to you. We would like to run Shoe Creek on Sat which is an all day trip unless you elect to return to camp. This is a family friendly trip so feel free to bring your kids. This trip will be at Crabtree Falls VA on Route 56 near route 814. From Hampton roads about 3 hours, from Roanoke area and south it is about a 2 hour drive. Free camping on the Tye River, no electricity, running water nor is it camper accessible. Cars are not likely to make it to the campsite but if you let us know when to expect you we can meet you at the hard top. We will have a pot luck Thanksgiving dinner on Friday night with drinks around the fire afterwards. We hope to see some of you there.

well, from Richmond it is about 2 hours west. If you came over to I-81 from 66 and headed south to exit 205 I would have to say about 4 hours . Or you could come down I-95 to richmond and head west on I-64 to exit 99. so you would add the 2 hours it takes from Richmond to how ever long it takes you to get to Richmond. Alot of good trails, people and times. Hope this helps a little.

Easiest way from Manassas is to go down 29 through Charlottesville. It's probably only 2.5 hours from there, seeing how it's 3-3.5 to Lynchburg going that route.

I'd be all over going if I wasn't already meeting family near DC.
