SW VA XJ's/MJ's, Roanoke/NRV to Bristol, post up!
Took my ignition coil off yesterday morning and discovered what could be the issue. Riddled with cracks, most of which are on the body and one of which goes to the post the coil wire from the distributor attaches to. When my check hits the bank Friday I will be making a stop at advance once more to pick up a new coil. Any suggestions on brand preference/longevity? My uncle suggested the yellow Accel super coil. Attached are a handful of pictures of the culprit.

Replaced it with a bwd to test it and bought an msd as a backup. Neither fixed it so I pulled the pump back out. Swapped out Airtex and ordered a Bosch pump. Will be here tomorrow. Hopefully it will agree with the airtex sending unit.
Nobody would just happen to have a spare fuel pump hangar laying around would they? I foolishly threw mine away thinking the new one would fix it and now the bosch pump won't fit into the aftermarket one. If not I reckon next paycheck I'll fork out more cash for a Carter since Bosch doesn't sell whole assemblies anymore.
