Suppose to be in the low 80's this weekend. Not too hot, not too chilly. Shaping up to be a nice weekend.

As long as the weather guessers are correct.

Cool. Getting close.

Should be a pretty good time. Looking forward to it. This will actually be the first time it's really been offroad. I took it out on the beach a couple times but only for VERY short runs, 2 blocks at the most just to give it a quick sand test.

Good news everyone - weather is still looking clean:

high in the low 80's and zero rain.

The only bad thing is that we may hit traffic on the bridge going down. Maybe. Hopefully the ECSC here in Virginia Beach will pull a lot of the surfers away from OBX this weekend. Especially since a bunch of pros signed up last minute 'cuz of Danielle causing some nice waves to come through.

are we going to the spot that has the trails with the mud holes? or is it just beach riding only?

I'm open to whatever. I was planning just a beach run, but we can throw in some mud too. I'll probably stay out of it just 'cuz I FINALLY finished fixing everything from the last mud adventure. I'll have the camera though so I can get pics of anyone who wants to do it.

probably depends on what parts are open. I have actually never really been out there.

Getting ready to go shopping for this trip in just a few. I ordered my recovery strap and a d-ring but by the looks of the shipping info it won't be here in time so looks like Ill be going back to home depot and just buying a strap. No harm in having more than one strap lol.

Ok need at least one other opinion before I set out to buy the bbq.

Based on the number of confirmed people and the other food that people are bringing I was considering either just getting the bbq separate or getting one of the "picnic" packages they offer.

If I do the picnic package thing what one should I get?

PICNICS TO-GO
Our family style meals offer
generous portions of our signature
Pork or Beef BBQ, Coleslaw, BBQ
Baked Beans, and Hush Puppies To-Go.

The Piglet • Serves 8 • $49.99
The Swine • Serves 12 • $69.99
The Potbelly • Serves 16 • $89.99

I was looking at either the Piglet or the Swine. I really don't think we would need the Potbelly with all the other food on its way.

What do ya think?

with me doing chicken as well, I'd go with the swine. we're just doing lunch type of meal so I'd think that's be fine.

MTParker - make my total people me+6. Also, update my food to BBQ chicken and fruit salad. Thanks!

ok. that's it. I am DONE buying stuff for this meet up. Got the pig and fixins ordered. Just got back from getting the plastic stuff, Cups, plates, forks/spoons/knives, napkins and trash bags along with four 12 packs of soda, a new pin for my hitch (the other one was too short) and batteries....oh and a big cooler because I realized I didn't have one lol.

The only other thing I am buying for this trip is gas and ice. (and a recovery strap if mine does not make it in the mail in time)

DONE
