It is sometimes hard to get the bolts lined back up if the body moves over the axle when you remove it. If you are by yourself than you will need a ratchet strap/ come along etc to pull the body over the axle where you need it. I set mine so my control arms are dead centered in the mount because it was going through bushings from having side load. I can remove mine without the body moving. You may be as lucky.
The easiest way is to have someone thre to turn the steering wheel left to right, it will move the body and help you line it up.
Other than that its not to hard.

I just changed mine on my '94, not sure if the setup is the same. it wasn't too difficult. The hatrdest part was getting the ball joint free from the mounting bracket that's attached to the frame. I did have my brother turn the wheel for me to get it lined back up..... Good Luck!

Once you get the old one off, you will be amazed at how simple it is. A ratchet strap is your friend

I just did mine this last weekend and it was actually not as bad as I was expecting. The hardest park was getting the ball joint out but, a pickle fork and good hammer fixed that. The install was actually easier to do then the removal. Just be sure the wheels are straight and you have driven it straight into position. This will help with keeping the pressure off instead of just turning the wheels straight when you are parked.
Got my new adjustable trac bar from Rough Country. My axle was 1/4 inch off from the 3 inch series II lift. Installed the adjustable trac bar centered it right up perfectly.

Good Luck

We done did it! We wound up lifting the front end of the jeep with a loader and trailer hitch because the trac bar was pretty much fused to the mounting bracket. As it were, we had to remove the bracket. The castle nut was removed via a torch and separated the ball joint with a pickle fork. Installation of the new trac bar would have been flawless had I not lain in the oil drip pan and saturated the end of my hair or had I not stripped out the flag nut that had to be rethreaded (ahem) on account of me. We wound up putting in a new 1/2 in bolt with washers on the bottom of the mounting bracket too. We also changed the oil, oil filter, rotated the four tires and welded together the exhaust pipe that was coming apart. So all in all, it took a lot of extensions, wrenches, ratchets, impact guns, heavy lifting equipment, torches, welders, cuss words and long hot showers, but we got 'er done!
