Depends on what u like to do. If u don't mind messin with 7200/12kv power and climbing poles and everything in between, then its not bad.

did you do any of the high tension line work where you have to energize the helicopter then you can get on the line and inspect

Before I got in the apprenticeship, I did commercial and industrial. One thing I miss about that is bending pipe. But that's about it....lol. 1st step apprentice out of the local 126 hall starts out (I think) at mid to high 20's an hr. now....each step is a pay raise(7steps total @ 1000hrs each) Journeyman Lineman there now makes 45 or 46 hr and some change. But you definitely work for it!....lol

I know who I'm getting ahold of when I want to swap my house up to 200a service haha. I can do residential and boxes, never did anything with the meter head though

I would love to get on a barehand crew working transmission lines....maybe one day.....lol.
