Actually junkyard Barbie in Morrisville has alot of ford explorers. Mid 90s and up. Idk how close you are to there but you'll definitely find one there

 

I'm from west Chester, shorty and Dave is closest to me and they sell 25 an axle

 

But my point is that I'm willing to give away my 8.25 axle wit 29 splines for anyone who can give me 8.8 with 4.10's cause I don't feel like going out and look for it

Yeah te problem is, every single axle from explorers are gone lol

Haha it ran great and even has a K&N intake and a 1/2 deep well socket that i couldnt get back off the bolt haha so if you could id like that socket back please haha its got a sticker on the hatch that says aint skeered

Quick question I have 92 wit 242. Want to swap a 96 231 I know splines are the same 23 but are they the same length. Not the case the inputs. Couldnt really find any info on my particular need.

 

if spline count is the same then it will work, im pretty sure the spline count was the only difference
