I was TERRIBLE at stick welding in high school shop class. MIG is much easier. If you did that bead with MIG, I'd wager to say that you should do shorter beads because you'll get tunnel vision real quick when doing long beads. I'm still a beginner but that's been my experience so far. Not sure if you could say the same about stick.

It would be the death of the real jeep. Im not a wrangler guy but I am a jeep enthusiast. When someone says the word jeep you instantly think wrangler its the only jeep to retain its old time looks and offroad ability all others have changed and none for the better. So in my opinion it will be the death of the real jeep.

I'm just willing to buy any d44 that's converted for a cherokee, if I can't find one for the right price I'll just rebuild my d30. It will be awhile cause I plan on doing an sye and my rear d44 first, but then I can't go on the trails until I rebuild a front axle with matching gears, so that will follow shortly after.
Just finished tubs and tube flares check out the build thread might see some things I did and get a visual to how you will do it! Curious to see how you will do yours keep me informed
