Get the recall handled, and your heat soak will probably disappear

I just pulled my plugs too. They don't look the greatest plus it looks like the previous owner had the cheapest Autolite plugs they make thrown in. So gonna change them up with some double plat. and also gonna wrap my injectors.

Newkindofclown, The recall....I heard all they do is wrap it also. Like .2 hrs of labor, on them, of course but that's all they do from what I was told. I can do that myself. Keeps me busy ya know lol.

Heard stay away from bosch, but also that NGK were good but just didn't last as long. Reason was cause of the coil pack system they put in 00-01's, I can't remember the details on it. But no experience with either honestly. Just repeating what I heard.

They put a heat shield on the intake. I drove by the local dealer every day, so that's easier and free for me

Ohk yeah closest Jeep dealership for me is about 15 miles outta the way, but I actually have a heat shield there I noticed, on the intake manifold already. It was a little twisted up. Its about 3/4 thick fiberglass surrounded by the reflective metal shield. I rearranged it, but still gonna try the wrap for now. But thanks for your input.

Yeah did mine yesterday(wrap), also changed plugs out. Went with the Double platinums, sorry xjwonders lol. Also put some better gas in it. I read that higher ethanol content can cause this along with short stop and go driving can instigate it more. So I put some 93 in her. She likes that. Runs better than when I got it. See how long this lasts!
