PA cherokee club
Just a reminder that there is a pretty good size group going wheeling this Saturday.
There is also a pot luck dinner afterwards at TwinGrove campground, including a small raffle. Prizes include a gift certificate to Down N Dirty offroad, a pair of Synergy wheel spacers, some JKS discos, and more. Raffle is free, all you have to do is be there.
If you want to come, be in the parking lot around 8 and look for a big white Suburban (my tow rig).

Hey guy's I'd like to introduce myself to this awesome PA thread! Im Decklan from Franklin PA. I have had this jeep for 4 years (since I was 16) i have started a build thread but here is my jeep. 4.5 zone lift with 33 inch tires, and affordable offroad front bumper. Anything else you can ask.

Getting ready for snow and winter in general. Everything is mostly done and ready. I do have to shoot some paint in a few places to make sure that there is a good layer on there in a few places. But other then that, are you guys waxing your jeeps right before winter? I have heard that it helps keep the salt from sticking so much. I do wash it weekly in the winter but this last spring I did work a lot on the jeep to remove all the rust, such as cutting a lot of metal and replacing rocker panels. Want to try to keep it in good condition.

you can only wax the clear coated surfaces. Using a good wax like Trewax(?) and applying it thick helps prevent oxidation more than an anything. So anywhere where theres those oily looking spots that are precursors to rust, wax helps slow the process significantly. I spray my engine with anything sloppy, like WD-40, and any access points in my uniframe i spray heavy with fogging oil to prevent rust
