you should care legal wise, they will just tow your car and its something crazy like 5 pts on your license.

no points what so ever. its not a moving violation to trespass. and they wont tow your vehicle. 9 out of 10 times they will just ask you to leave without even handing out tickets.

it doesn't matter, illegal wheeling is ruining our sport. soon we won't have anywhere to go.
if you're gonna go illegal knowingly, go alone, that way if you get stuck, you can rot. seriously.

just go to rousch creek, or the barrens. but tread lightly. don't go if it's still too wet.

its not just you caged so please don't think i'm trying to be a jerk to you....but i'm getting really sick an tired of this legal debate coming up EVERY time somebody tries to ask about where to go wheeling...umm hello! its south jersey, everywhere i look there is a dirt road off to the right or left. 90% of the land down here is state owned meaning its legal no questions asked end of story, and if you are for some reason not supposed to be back there (some how wandered into the bombing range in bass river one time) there just going to tell you to get out..... as far as the rare private property around here, if your not supposed to be back there its probably gated. if its not gated i hit the trail. it should go without saying to be respectful and bring your trash out with you and if you do that nobody will ever know you were there....there are tons of trails around by me in ocean county that i'm afraid i'll never get to drive them all no matter how much i go out. you really don't need to go all the way to PA to have some fun in your jeep, you just gotta keep your eyes open or join one of the many south jersey offroad clubs (poor boyz, jerseydevil, grass roots, just to name a few).....well thats just my .02 but i really do feel that we are bombarding people with the whole "legal" question everything single time they think about venturing off of the pavement and it is unnecessary

no worries, i wasn't trying to be a *****, but it's a touchy subject for me. i want to be able to wheel in the future. hopefully our grand kids can enjoy our sport too.
as far as private property, it's not up to the property owner to put up a gate to their property to keep people out.
as for them just telling you to leave, how long do you think they'll just keep saying that before they contact the ministry. then they will just close the trails. once they're closed, there's no reopening them.
the ministry will always just close the trails rather than listen to the locals *****.
it's happening here all the time. but at least we have an organization that is willing to fight the system on our behalf. but if the ministry wants it closed, they will just do that.

anyways, point of the story is if you're gonna be ignorant to the laws, you ruin it for everyone.
