finished up my 8.25 swap, with new yoke and pinion seal. The stock driveshaft is a little long but gets the Jeep mobile. Rear disc conversion is nice, and I wish I did that years ago.
installed some cavfab steering. SYE is on it’s way. After that I’ll just need to bumpstop and she’s good to go.
also these KM3s eat. Amazon driver made a wrong turn and got stuck. Tow truck wouldnt go down the hill. Farm owner tried in his tacoma and that didn’t budge it. XJ did some work!

Pretty good. Just got through a spell of sickness that lasted about 3 weeks. Last year has been pretty crazy with the baby stuff but its starting to be more of the norm and comfortable.
Jeep is currently under reconstruction. Frame rail repairs, stiffeners, and 3link long arms going in.
Drove the Jeep on road for the first time in awhile since doing a bunch of work.
My old steering must have been really worn. The cavfab steering made it “tighter” however i have DW now....
i’m fairly certain it’s the driver side hub, and I know I also need to replace my axle side track bar bushing. The bushing is on its way, and new hub will be installed today.
5100s are totally worth it. I wish I would have gotten them years ago. With the IRO springs and those shocks the XJ actually rides pretty dang good.
