Im pissed how much I wasted lifting several times. extended shackles and spacers are only good if you have longer aftermarket leafs. other than that, **** them. Im happy I took mines off. and Serious has SYE for 145 or adams driveline has for 400 the driveshaft with new joints and SYE. done deal.

it'd be cheaper for you to put on the 6.5" lift sye, driveshaft, and tires then to get a 4.5" lift and smaller tires. and like he said at 4.5" lift you may (most likely) need a SYE

no problem. by all means do what you want, but from what you've said you want the 6.5" lift. don't settle for less.

A while back I read on the boards about using either a dodge or chevy van or pickup truck's rear shackles to get 1 -1 1/2" lift rather than purchase aftermarket shackles [which would be higher priced]. The lift would be because the springs were mounted under the axle rather than on top, like an XJ????? Ring a bell with anyone?
The cost for these shackles was in the $30s if I remember correctly.

This isn't me telling you that you're lazy for not searching. But pay attention to how I searched
