Was about to buy Crosby Shackles from them but he told me that they will be chipped because they ship them in a bag, no protection so they just bang against eachother. I wonder if I call Crosby they can ship them to me in a protective box.
when I mentioned locally, I meant any one of the "local" fabricators at your disposal. Who can make your dream come true, and you can spend your hard earned $$"s on supporting a local company! cant go wrong there.

Need to do hood vents(just to lower umderhood temps)
Let me jump in here jim, Hood vents do nothing to lower your under hood temp, they just look cool and allow some hot air to escape. I've seen no noticeable difference.

Thank you. They WILL extend the life of rubber and plastic parts by keeping ambient temps down, and will help with heat soak. Coolant temp...not so much.

Jimmy thanks for the answer lol. And fritz and jimmy, I remember you telling me this month's ago, that's what I was trying to say, didn't word it right. To me umderhood temp is just the cloud of hot air between the engine and the hood.

Never really thought of this route but my Jeep is also my Daily Driver and not saying that a fab job won't look good but, a machine weld is alot nicer. Plus by the time I get someone to fab, get it powder coated etc I'm looking at the same/more money to get done.

By the way, this may sound very stupid but how do you guys calculate your MPG? I hear of people saying they get 17MPG, I don't see how thats possible as I believe i'm only getting 9-10. Do you guys run it to empty, fill it up and run it back down to Empty? Or is there a better/cheaper way.
