Anyone have the capacity to weld stainless and dissimilar metals? A small roll of ER309L and C-25?

Nevermind...I'll just clamp it for now...

You can use a stainless rod. I can't remember what the number is but you can buy them in a small pack. If you get the electrode I can weld it.

I will be in Barnesville this weekend (Friday night)....Chris has a stick welder at his shop...

If I go to GTS Welco...will they tell me which rod?

I have a mild steel tailpipe and reducer...needs welded to stainless muffler and cat.

Gts should be able to tell you. The guy at the one in Frederick is pretty knowledgable. I think it may just be a 309l electrode. You can usually buy them in a 3 or 5 pack. I use them when I fix plow equipment and exhaust. Even if the exhaust is carbon steel I still like to use a stainless rod to help resist rusting.
