Think 3/4" or 1" EMT will hold up? I mean it'll be tied into the body and the 16 ga sheet

you ever try and weld EMT? Its not fun, use some round bar, eastwood sells a really nice stand bender... will make quick work of all that

frosty, if the flat flares turn out good I might be interested in some, though it would be after I lift and get tires of course

I'll see if I have any pics of the set I did. It had 1.5" tube fenders on it already so the front flares were more of a extension on the fender.

True but Jimmy knows that, Oliver is closer to him. I have .5", .75", 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3"

Most of the tj/jk flares are 1.5"

Also if you plan on rubbing them up against obstacles 1" won't last long if it's tied in to something rigid. If its just mounted on the fender then the fender will just crumple.
