I thought you couldn't buy R12 without a license since the switch over to 134.....

Mostly true. I see it on Craigslist often. You can also find it on eBay.

makes me think your on to something.. now next question.... how do you burp the tranny?? let me rephrase that how do you burp the Transmission??
as for the foils i was thinking of using the hose to spray from the inside out.. to see if anything is in it. or should i wait till dark and shine a light threw them?

When i had the motor out i done my best at flushing the rad out...

Check ALL hose connections. Coolant will also rise in temperature when the proper pressure is not applied. Sometimes you can have a pressure leak without actually having a coolant leak.

Did you replace the waterpump with the rebuild?

When the engine originally went, was overheating a part of the problem, ie..did it overheat with it's dying?

And Mark, I should be able to help you, as well. I can't stay late, but I can at least transport whatever parts you need.

the last motor did over heat before biting the bullet. Did not replace the waterpump but do have one on hand. I looked over the last one and it seemed good to go. Also when the jeep is parked and the engine is running, once it breaks the 195 mark and the t-stat opens u can see the water drop as it appears to be circulating.

The connections i went over a few times just to make sure they were good.

it grabs the stud threads/shaft. You can find them at home depot or any hardware store. Made by Irwin.

love being a homeowner. I get to do this in the very near future..
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/level...el-a-yard.html

I have a drainage runoff running through the middle of the yard, gonna fill it in and level it off. Gonna either use gravel or recycled concrete.
