Finished up the axle today! I ended up gutting the brakes and going all out. New wheel cylinders, e-brake cables, custom hard brake lines, pads, and all the hardware. I was able to clean up the drums with a hard wire wheel in a grinder. There wasn't any pitting or groves so I painted em up put em back on. The first side was the hardest, just trying to figure out the order in which to install so everything stays put. The brake lines took me a while to match the factory bends. I hope to have some time tommorow to do the swap. I also have a set of HD axle relocation brackets to put on.
I picked up 4 u-bolts today from Daves Trailer in Glen Burnie. Paid $24
3" x 7" x 9/16 with nuts. Very beefy and way bigger than the ones that came with the RC lift kit
