Few Jeeps heading to Lacey today for some trails

Well I'm pretty sure my transfer case needs to be rebuilt . Put it in 4hi an when I gave it gas it made a Nasty clunking noise . When I checked the fluid all that was in the tc was like 5 table spoons of nasty black fluid . Filled it up and Same thing in four wheel anything else I can check? The 4wd works though . Looks like I'm not wheeling anything soon
