Seriously ... you don't carry a child in there with the doors off, do you?

Way to be a responsible parent. God forbid you get into an accident those kids are as good as dead. Christ! Wise up. I am a father of 2 and would never in a million years do something so stupid.

I would make the exact same comment about a wrangler. I wouldn't even buy one for myself, even with doors, just so you know. Same for a convertible, except that road debris & flying crap are kept off better with a convertible. There are fewer hazards coming from above. IMO there's a lot to be said for enclosing your kids behind solid doors - just like there's a lot to be said for motorcycle helmets ... but that's just my opinion.

I don't think we're "judging" ... what does that even mean? Doorless with kids small enough to be in a booster seat just seems irresponsible in so many ways & on so many levels. Mind you, it could be perfectly safe ... but then so are motorcycles (according to some people).

I remember when I was little it wasn't summer until everything not welded on came off, I bet your kids enjoy it and besides as long as your careful you could just as easily get hurt by something flying through the window...and seriously who doesn't drive with the windows down?

That was such a silly comment, I had to shake my head. Do you let your kids do everything they enjoy even if it endangers their life? Do you even have kids? Is it not your job to take every precaution in the protection of your children? This could turn into a silly debate, so this is my last comment on the matter: You being careful has exactly zero to do with external forces. That's like saying if I hold my kid real tight they can't be thrown from the vehicle in a collision. It's ignorant & just plain dumb.
Getting hurt by flying debris is a lot different than a T-bone accident. Personally I prefer having something substantial between my child's small body & anything coming at my vehicle. Undoubtedly some smart aleck will say XJ doors aren't made of Kevlar, but anything is better than thin air.

Carry on.

Sounds like a nosy democratic convention complaining about other peoples lives on this forum page. I was taught something very useful in my youth. Mind your own f****** business.
