So who else here in the NE has been with out power since last Saturday's snow storm?
Here it is Tuesday I've been sleeping fully dressed in a cold house with no hot water.
Non of my family or friends have any either so using somebody elses shower is not a option. The city has a public place to clean up but I'd rather stay dirty than use them lol.

At night time I've been sitting in my xj for the heat and browsing the forums mobile.

What's your story's?

 

We lost it here in NJ at around 3pm on Saturday and my roommates and I were suppossed to have a Halloween party that night (we're college seniors and just wanna party our last year lol). Since we had no power and now way to get our beer cold, we grabbed some snow from outside and stock a bunch of rubber maid containers full of beer and snow. Redneck coolers ftw!! Got it back Sunday night just in time for the late football game.

 

i keep my $hit prepared. generator. kerosene heat. snuggies, haha and plenty o non spoiling food aka Beer.

 

I have not had power since Saturday... i might have it back wed or thursday... they keep saying... i stayed in my xj... to charge my cell phone... I have a generator hooked up but it only works the fridge and the freezer... the spare heater doesn't work that good.

 

I've got plenty of warm cloths. I have beer to haha! Need something to keep me happy lol.

 

i lost it saturday night. then got it sunday because it was a primary line down that fed most of my town.

 

I grew up in Lake Clear NY up in the Adirondacks. 67 of the friendliest people on the planet there. when we lost power it was out for days. no exageration maybe 30 days out of every year no power.

 

So your no stranger to it lol
I can go with out it easily if I did not have family. All I need is a wood stove and candles and I'd be happy.

 

yeah it's tough with the kiddos wanting sponge bob and the wife crying that she "didn't sign up for this" thats why we have the beer. haha

 

Yup. Having a beer right now lol
I managed to turn the shop bathroom into a place to shower today.
Man I feel good now!!

 

Anybody still with out heat? Think CLP gives a crap?!
