A member in your area needs a hand with a rear diff on an 88 XJ. Can you guide /help him please?

Yeah, that's me he's talking about. My rear diff is poppin' pretty badly right now, and I think the easiest path is to just replace the entire axle, since I know squat about repairing a differential. I live in Medford, NY, and I often see other Cherokee drivers around. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a good rear axle assembly, let me know, ok?

For most backyard mechanics like myself, replaceing the entire axle is the smarter way to go IMHO.

Look in junkyards or craigslist or ebay for a one at $200 or less.
