Lifesaflaw- yeah that's pretty much what I'm gonna do. But there's really nothin out there that I've seen so far.
Anyway went to look at the 98... It's trashed lol. They had it on Craigslist for 4486 when I got there it had a banner on it that said 3995 the printout on the window had 4449 on it. I'll just say this for the condition I was in. Once I drove it I was ready to offer 1500.
I went in just to see what he had to see. The guy there wasn't the owner who I had been talking to. So I beez all like check it check it Ive got cash in my pocket what's the lowest you'll take right now. He says hold let me call Dan. So five minutes later he calls back and says 3650. So I start rattling off what all needs fixed. ( biggest things were tires, alignment, and brakes but there was a much longer list) so he says well if all that was fixed it would be a 4500 car and I laughed and said yeah and it would be worth it. Then I ask him how long he's had it. He quickly replys 2 days. So I laugh again and say no you haven't cause I've been talkin to the other guy longer than that so he starts back peddling. I get up drop the mic and walk out without making an offer.

Yeah. Passed one on the way home at a park and sell that had a 4" lift quick disconnect swaybar end links and nitto terra grapps. Don't remember the size. It had 130k on it asking price is 3900 but it's got some damage on the driver side fender and the grill is busted on that same corner. And it's also a 2001 so I'll have to see if it's got an 0331 head. But I called the guy and may meet with him this weekend.

Seems a bit high to me at even 3800. Arkansas here and something like that would be around 3k here.
I paid 1300 for a 95 with 160k and everything worked even ac. very little body issues. a few dents and scratches. It also had a 3inch lift on it. buddy bought a 97 pretty good cond for 1800. I also have another friend that is about to purchase a 99 for 2750 in the best condition I've seen for that model. Things may be cheaper around here though I guess.

Thanks for thE help. I ended buying a 99 grand Cherokee last night. Not what I wanted but the wife wanted it and it'll do for what I need at the moment. Guess my xj plans will have to wait for another day lol

Well here's what I ended up with. Plan is to clean it up. Fix the headlights bring the plastic back to life and pretty much just daily it while we build our house and then sell it to buy an xj project.
Mad 2wd flex.
And this is from when i was fixing the headlights.
Forgot to take a picture after both were done. They look So much better but I'm probably gonna do them again. They could still look better.
