Hey all, sorry i havent been around at all recently, school's been insane the past weeks. Sadly it doesnt look like ill be able to wheel with yall before i head back north. But i was wondering, if someone where to have their tranny blow out does it make more sense to rebuild it or just scavenge junk yards and the internet for a relatively low milage replacement? and does anyone have any clue about how much that endeavor would milk the wallet for?

 

All depends on how long you plan on keeping jeep really .

 

i plan on keeping it long term. ideally ill drive it until i have no choice but to move to a more fuel efficient DD then ill keep it as a fun car and as something to wrench on when i need to get out of the lab and get away from research.

 

Hit the local yards around ya look for a good clean one might get lucky or Rob who rides with us is a manager at Aamco probly give ya a deal cant hurt to ask then you would get a local warranty and good in other states ..
