You know I am going to run it with the 33s for now but possibly eventually in the far future I will get 35s. Remember I have an AW4 so it is not the same as a 5 speed, gear-wise.

Actually it will be great on the city since I won't have to gas it to move. Highway, that's a different story.

This is going to be great for racin-- I mean off roading..

I'll probably max out at 75MPH but I imagine 0-60 will be pretty nice.

 

Do they make a SYE for the np 242 or is it just the H/N tap

Tom Woods makes a SYE for the NP242. It's a little pricey but it is the whole shaft and not a HnT...

Well, Clem looked over that 401 for me and said it needs a major overhaul. So untill I rebuild that and the transmission, im gonna take that 4.2, T18 and D20 outta the donor Wagoneer and use it. The axles have 4.88 gears so ill be fine.

 

When I talked to Tom he said he would take a NP242 rear shaft for the core up front instead of the $500.00 core charge. Just find a JY one and send it to him with the payment...

 

Did you buy it off orlando craigslist with broken shaft?
