We have a few up here, U Pull & Pay, 2 different LKQ's and Snake Road Auto Salvage. Snake Road (stuart) just got two XJs in a 98 & 99 4x4's. But they're a cash only yard. The LKQ and U Pull & Pay on Benoist Farms Rd (Southern Blvd by the Turnpike) are going to be your best options.
Hey guys, just joined saw this thread and noticed you all have quite the bit of knowledge. So I was wondering if anyone could help.
ive got an a 01 xj. I’ve been wheeling hard and heavy for 3 years. Now all of a sudden I’ve got this overheating issue. Little background info. I replaced the radiator 6 months ago due to leaking. I also replaced the mechanical fan. I replaced the water pump 2 days ago. I pulled the thermostat figured I’d run without it. Did an entire system flush. Everything is clean and flows well. Tried taking it for a spin lastnight. Within 5 minutes it was up to 210 and then 5 minutes later shot up to 260. I also have an aftermarket electric fan which works very well. I did notice my heat was ice cold. So I figured it was the heater core. But no smell or sign of leaking. I’m beginning to think it may be the head. But I want to be positive sense it’s a big job. My oil is clean. My coolants clean. Not losing either of the 2 or mixing. The only sign I picked up on is with my radiator cap is off and the Jeep is running it’s constantly bubbling.
I believe that’s all the info. I apologize if it’s not in order or not properly written. I’d appreciate and help or tips to point me in the right direction Thankyou.

okay easy enough. Yes I replaced the clutch. I do not have the shroud.
but also. I’ll mention. Everything ran just fine. With a ****ty clutch. No shroud. A **** thermostat. Then I hit some deeeeeeep mud hole. And now everything’s ****in up. Just need help. Starting to bother me heavily. Figured no thermostat. No restriction on coolant flow. It should run ice cold. Then I did the clutch. Figured that do the trick. Can’t figure it out. And I’m not sure how to tell if it need a head or something. But there’s no signs of failure other than constant bubble out of the radiator

I just got rid of the last of all my spare XJ/MJ parts. Everything I had was older Renix stuff and some CJ stuff.
I will be up at Jeep Beach from Thursday to Sunday. Whoever I meet with a Cherokee or Comanche will recieve a free Cherokeeforum.com decal.
