Thanks!
I tried to do a street view of that area and it seems the undeveloped land was fenced in. I've only ridden dirt bikes and quads off road so I'm super excited to take my Jeep off road for the first time.
I've got a rear recovery loop but no straps yet or front recovery points. I'm already planning on acquiring those but I'm strapped for cash at the moment after coming back from vacation.
Do you all think I'll still be able to roll with you guys?

I didn't think that area was deep until I went to a south Florida jeep club "BBQ" with Gary and they had those huge truck with tractor tires....
Of they were getting stuck in 50-70" tires could you imagine us?
But there is a mud hole that you can play in but once you go to the back(deep slushy mud) front and rear tow points are required....

If a hurricane comes, I have to go with an engineer to make sure that all of our urgent cares and corporate buildings get secured/locked down.
Then after that, I go to 1 of our hospitals, to assist with securing that facility, and ride the storm out there.
Stressful, but damn good OT.
Back on topic. It doesn't look too bad for Sunday, I'm still down to go, but 've never been back there, so I would like to have someone who knows that area pretty well, and can help get me out if I get stuck.

Obviously I would take off with advanced notice of a serious hurricane, but a big part of me would really wanna stick around and help clear the road and to help people who either couldn't afford a hotel or the elderly who were stuck in their homes.
My only other vehicle is a 2002 Corvette, so it's not doing me any good in the midst of a storm. It'll suck up water through the ram air intake long before my wife's car. At least now I've got a lifted jeep that's almost worthy of entry-level disaster relief, just need a winch.

I'm going to head down there soon. Not sure who I'm looking for or what I'll be doing but I'm definitely a fan of the buddy system after getting stranded in the forest once.
If anyone else is going, shoot me a text 954-599-581seven

Hardly anyone is here. Not sure where to go. Went down one path that went on for a while but being alone with a Jeep that's never been off road before I got nervous and didn't gamble going into areas I've never been before. I nearly tipped over in the parking lot area going through some deep water. Came all the way up to my door and was at a 45 degree angle trying to keep 2 wheels on dry so I didn't get stuck.
Without knowing how deep some of these water holes are and no one to guide I didn't want to leave things up to chance. Would be happy to explore the area with a few people next time. Probably going to need to add disconnects too. I couldn't believe how choppy and bumpy it was. It was more like rock crawling for me than anything else. Maybe it's just my setup.
I managed to get through one trail and got out to check the water's depth with a stick a few times. Got eaten ALIVE by mosquitoes.
Would like to find an area that's a bit smoother.

For about the first 1/4 mile it is rocky *** hell! Lol
I went with my girl and she hated it...she thought I was playing around when I told her to put her seatbelt on....
But once you get Into the open field it's pretty much a mud hole...

Hoping I got my cooling issue sorted out found more chunks in radiator .Did a evapo rust flush and 4 hd prestone flushes. Covered grill with 2 beach towls ran xj at 2,000 rpm for 15 minutes never got near 200. Letting the last flush sit over night. Do a final fulsh tomorrow. As for Dan with trouble should be able to do Transfer Case rebuild in 2 weeks . Could use some help getting the case down its a cast Iron 205 divorce case . Then we can start mudding again. The x owner of Krome has 300 plus acres hes gonna let us ride on off okechobee . He wants to be there the first time we go to place faces with names and rigs. Seems like its gonna be a select crowd he will allow on his property this time .

I may not make it very early, tomorrow guys.
I got an invite from Sweetwater PD to go play with their SRT Team for awhile at Trail Glades.
I should be done around 4pm or so, if anyone is still out there, I'll swing by.
