GF is bringing home a free ZJ for her kid that needs a bit of work. I'm thinking of doin a 1.75" Daystar spacer lift that comes with bumpstops since the originals are toast and a set of Chinese bush hooker copies since one fender is banged up. I'd like to fit 33's so kiddo can play in the mud. Anybody here have experience with the ZJ's? I'm doin this as a gift and tryin to cheap it cheap and driveable.

One headlight is trashed and the rubber bumper is junk. I'm thinking of doin euro headlights, welding a custom bumper, and making a faux RBP grill per this link. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/...grill-1430095/
Since I'm doing this for a teen, I need input if this is kewl or ghey,,, haw

$110 from Daystar for 1.75" spacers including bumps seems hard to beat since the bumps are gone. I'd really like to avoid brakelines, pitman arm, control arms, transfer case drop, trackbar, etc to fit 33's if possible, otherwise I'd go smaller. The flares are free and should add clearance I hope. I'm no ZJ expert and this is a onetime deal as a gift.

I would think that simple coil spacers wouldn't put the suspension geometry in such stress that you would need all the other junk that goes with larger lifts. Yay coils all around!
What year ZJ is that? Like Gary said, some came with factory manuals (93-94) while some came with the AW4 (93 I think) which would be awesome considering the 42RE can be problematic.

You'll be able yo clear 31s on the 2" BB with a little rubbing unless you install the cutouts. To clear 33s you need a minimum of 4" lift. You could put thr 3.5" kit w/cutouts to squeeze 33s on there. Just properly bumpstop.

Seems like I'm stuck in the 31"-32" range. I run 31"x10.50's radials on stock rims on both my other trucks. Would a 31"x11.50" Swamper bias ply work on stock rims? It's been years since I ran 33" Swampers on my FS Bronco, I know they howl and I recall them flat spotting if I parked it too long. Opinions?

HELP!
Okay so I'm about ready to order my lift kit. Now I just need some help on where to get Proper bump stops for the front and rear.
I've sen some by Daystar bump stops here n there, but the thing is I haven't been able to find anything specific to a 4.5 lift. Help guys this part is super crucial!

If I ever remove my springs again up front. I will drill the cups where coils sit around and tap the hole to say 3/8s for installation of pucks on axle .Don't even think theres 4.5 longer bump stops to be purchased .
