If you want to roll coal Travis just do the 4BT, those 6.5's are big old dogs, the cool factor could come back in with the 5.3 or do the LS3 6.2 and a 6L80

 

The 4bt is stupid exspensive at 3k for 300k motor... **** on that... paid $300 for mine running...

The 6.2 and 6.5 are good motors if u learn them... they have the same parts that fail just like every other motor unfortunately it's catastrophic when they do... if u know these parts and replace them with now aftermarket replacements your good to go... 3 wires and it'll run In anything...

Now that I know the numbers are about the same NA as a 4.0 renix I'm starting to think the ax15 would hold up fine even if I beefed it up some... The swap would be cheap and easy...
